The National Finals Rodeo is scheduled for 5-14 December 2024 at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The Wrangler NFR is such an event where you must attend at least once in your lifetime. The Wrangler NFR will return to the Thomas & Mack Center from Dec. 5-14 and will mark the 38th year that the Wrangler NFR has been held in Las Vegas.
For 10 days in December, the NFR comes to Las Vegas and transforms the city into a cowboy paradise. Thousands of rodeo fans come to Vegas to watch the competition, and they dress the part in Wrangler jeans, cowboy boots, and outsized hats. Even if you’re not a cowboy or cowgirl, you’ll have a blast at the NFR. The Cowboy Channel
The Cowboy Channel is the first and only 24-hour television network dedicated to western sports and the western lifestyle. Rural Radio XM147
RURAL RADIO 147 is the go-to agribusiness and Western lifestyle channel for SiriusXM listeners in the United States and Canada. With a program schedule that revolves around original productions, RURAL RADIO 147 offers something for everyone with interests in agriculture, equine, hunting, fishing, and Western sports, as well as those who enjoy living the country life in small towns around rural America. The station’s broadcast operations are based in Nashville, Tennessee. The channel airs a range of exclusive news and agriculture series, as well as live broadcasts of Western sports competitions from the PBR, PRCA rodeos, and WPCA Chuckwagon races.
About NFR 2024 & Broadcast Guide
The 2024 NFR will be televised on the Cowboy Channel and simulcast on RFD-TV. Both channels have identified Pivot Bio as their Presenting Television Sponsor.
In addition to being the official network of ProRodeo, the Cowboy Channel is also the first 24/7 network that entirely covers western sports and lifestyles. The broadcast schedule is yet to be officially announced for the 2024 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas at the Thomas & Mack Center between December 5-14.
The NFR is dubbed the Super Bowl of Rodeo because it consists of 10 rounds of professional rodeo over 10 days as the top 15 cowboys and cowgirls compete for a world championship, a gold buckle, and a share of millions in prize money.
From 7th December through 16th December, Cowboy Channel will have the best on-air talent team to bring all the rodeo action to our screens.
As the main hosts of the richest and most prestigious rodeo in ProRodeo, Jeff Medders and Butch Knowles will celebrate their 31st anniversary of broadcasting the NFR. There will also be analysts Luke Branquinho, Steve Kenyon, Don Gay, and Joe Beaver. Other hosts include reporters Janie Johnson and Amy Wilson.
From 2021, Pivot Bio will sponsor the Cowboy Channel’s broadcast of this live limited commercial show.
In 2020, the NFR and the regular ProRodeo season moved to The Cowboy Channel and RFD-TV thanks to an agreement between The Cowboy Channel, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, and Rural Media Group. The Cowboy Channel is covering the NFR for the third year in a row as the official media partner of the PRCA. The channel is now known as the Home of the NFR.
The NFR simulcasts of the Cowboy Channels can be viewed on its sister site, RFD-TV, or listened to on Rural Radio via SiriusXM channel 147. With technologically advanced features, such as 4K, 18 cameras, and skycam, the broadcast will provide rodeo fans with the ultimate viewing experience.
